Nicolas
Shamtanis, the former Chief Executive Officer of brokerage firm BDSwiss, has
returned to professional life after a six-month sabbatical leave. Shamtanis
announced his return today (Tuesday) on LinkedIn, noting that he started
running both ‘broker-as-a-service’
provider, Netrois, and payment and compliance solutions provider, Red Acre, as
Chief Executive Officer in April.

BDSwss appointed
Shamtanis
as its CEO in March last year, tasking him with leading its
global presence and expansion plans. The executive joined the financial and
investment services provider in September 2021 as Deputy CEO.

However,
Shamtanis’s profile on LinkedIn shows that he exited the role in October last
year after only eight
months in the role. The senior executive brings about 16 years of forex
industry experience to his new leadership roles at Netrois and Red Acre.

Netrois
supports forex and crypto brokerages with ‘fully customized, technology-advanced premium
trading solutions. On the other hand, Red Acre provides back-office solutions,
including compliance, payments and general support, to financial services
companies. According to Shamtanis, both firms are part of a larger fintech group that owns
or co-owns companies such as TradeLocker, Zeply, Cryptopanic, FunderPro &
Cryptochill.

“I am truly
humbled to be leading such talented teams, and I am genuinely inspired by their
dedication and commitment to excellence,” Shamtanis wrote in the LinkedIn post.
“Together, we will strive to create products that bring much-needed innovation
to an industry which hasn’t seen any for a very long time.”
