ExpressVPN Introduces Apple TV App

ExpressVPN recently introduced its new Apple TV app, joining a few other top VPNs that now offer a native app for the operating system. Some of the other VPNs that have an Apple TV app include PureVPN and IPVanish.

ExpressVPN currently works with over 100 popular streaming websites around the world and provides military-grade data encryption for online security. However, if you’ve been using your Apple TV, you haven’t been able to take full advantage of your ExpressVPN subscription — unless you configured the VPN on your router.

“The new Apple TV app joins a long list of native ExpressVPN apps for every major platform,” writes ExpressVPN in a blog post on the announcement. The company also assures users that the new features are “all included as part of your existing ExpressVPN subscription.”

To use the new app, simply install the app from your Apple TV’s App Store.

“Just scan a QR code with your phone or enter your details with your remote control, and you’re in,“ ExpressVPN posted.

Alongside the introduction of its new app comes improvements for the company’s Android TV App. This includes the app for Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick, and other Android-related TVs.

To start, ExpressVPN redesigned the UI for server selection, to make it easier for users to find the right server for them. Now, you’ll be able to connect in a matter of seconds. It also added a new dark mode for anyone who finds the app too bright. The dark mode also reduces the amount of power the app draws, which ever so slightly improves its performance.

ExpressVPN also added QR code logins for Android TVs. Instead of having to manually enter your email and passwords to log in, you can simply scan the QR code with your phone and automatically connect.

Like the new Apple TV app, ExpressVPN’s new Android TV features are available for any ExpressVPN user on any subscription plan.

“ExpressVPN already had the most extensive platform coverage in the industry, and the latest Apple TV app only adds to our long list of supported devices,” ExpressVPN said.

Alongside Apple and Android TVs, you can get ExpressVPN on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS devices, tablets, game consoles, Chromecast sticks, and more.
