ExpressVPN has released a new set of five different security upgrades for its VPN service. Every upgrade and new feature will be available at no extra cost for ExpressVPN users.

To start, ExpressVPN has increased its overall server count. It now offers locations in 105 countries, which is an increased from its previous 94 countries. The complete list of new server locations includes:

  • Bermuda.
  • Cayman Islands.
  • Cuba.
  • Dominican Republic.
  • Ghana.
  • Guam.
  • Honduras.
  • Jamaica.
  • Lebanon.
  • Morocco.
  • Puerto Rico.
  • Trinidad and Tobago.

The company also increased its maximum simultaneous device count from 5 to 8. While it isn’t unlimited like a few VPN companies offer, increasing the device count will allow you to make sure all of your devices are protected. ExpressVPN is also one of the only VPNs that offers a native router app, so all of the devices that are connected to your router will be connected to the VPN.

Another update covers automatic security updates — now, you’ll automatically install security updates by default, rather than relying on having to manually update the VPN yourself. This ensures that you’ll never miss vital security updates and patches for vulnerabilities.

“Auto-updates are particularly useful for users who are located in countries with internet restrictions and may not always have easy access to the ExpressVPN site to perform manual updates of their apps,” the company explains.

In addition, ExpressVPN has integrated an ad blocker into its VPN, a feature that competitors like NordVPN and Private Internet Access offer. Its new ad blocker filters out hundreds of ads that display in your browser, slowing down your internet access and generally being a nuisance while browsing online.

“The new ad blocker and adult-site blocker are available from today on ExpressVPN’s apps for Android, iOS, and Windows,” ExpressVPN said in a blog post. “They will be available on Linux and Mac by the end of this year.”

Finally, ExpressVPN now has a built-in tool to block explicit websites. Combined with the ad blocker, ExpressVPN now provides comprehensive security against malicious websites, ads, trackers, and adult websites.
