Formula E: High Voltage to Auction NFTs on Binance

REVV Ecosystem expanding onto Binance Smart Chain

Animoca Brands will auction 24 race cars for the NFT-powered race management game Formula E: High Voltage on the Featured by Binance marketplace. The auction starts on August 26th and ends on September 2nd. 

Formula E: High Voltage is an upcoming race management game in which players are the tactical brain behind a racing team. They pick the tactics for a certain race, and after that, the race takes place on its own. During the auction, they will sell 24 legendary cars, which allow players to compete in top tier races. Users will need BNB to place a bid. 

Like other racing games from the Animoca portfolio, Formula E: High Voltage taps into the REVV ecosystem. Players who own NFT racing cars for the game, can compete in races and earn REVV tokens. Animoca uses a license from the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, allowing real cars and drivers to appear in the game. 

As said before, Formula E: High Voltage is a race management game. In the game players can own cars, drivers and in the future also tracks. Top tier cars also have the ability to use a special skill, which automatically triggers for example a 10 second acceleration. This would be the fourth game in the REVV ecosystem after F1 Delta Time, MotoGP Ignition, and REVV Racing.

The Formula E auction on Featured by Binance will start on August 26th.

REVV moving up since late June

At the core of all these racing games by Animoca Brands is the REVV token, a utility token that players can earn and spend within different racing games. On June 22nd the token hit its lowest point in the past 3 months at $0.055. Since then, the price has steadily been increasing, peaking yesterday just over $0.23. 

REVV launched on the Ethereum blockchain, but has spread its ecosystem to other blockchains as well. Because of F1 Delta Time and REVV Racing the token exists on Polygon, while Formula E: High Voltage will bring the token to Binance Smart Chain. The only question mark is how and when the token will come to Flow blockchain, as MotoGP Ignition uses that particular blockchain. 

The interesting thing about REVV is that more games are coming. Animoca Brands signed a deal with Atari last year, adding classic racing game series like Fatal Run and Night Driver. However, since the October 2020 announcement no additional news has been revealed.
