“This deployment represents a fantastic opportunity for us to grow the awareness of proximity warning systems and how they can deliver real safety improvement and value to their users.”

The SensorZone proximity warning system is focused on tackling two of OSHA’s Fatal Four causes of accidents in the workplace – being ‘struck by’ a moving vehicle and being ‘caught-in/between’. The system has been subject to multiple, wide-scale deployments across a range of industries, supporting companies who are looking to drive a positive safety culture and reduce accidents in the workplace.

SensorZone delivers a triple alert to the operator and person at risk via vibrations, an alarm and flashing lights/beacons. Incidents are recorded and this data (combined with other machine information) is accessible via SafetyZone – a health and safety dashboard that provides actionable insights for users. This data ensures users are making informed decisions when it comes to people management, training, site design and the implementation of safe systems of work.

SensorZone is distributed and supported in the U.S.A. by Hill & Smith, Inc. Cecil Brown, VP of Sales & Marketing at Hill & Smith, Inc., said:

“SensorZone provides an effective solution to two of the biggest causes of workplace fatalities and injuries in the U.S., being hit by or crushed by a moving vehicle. This deployment represents a fantastic opportunity for us to grow the awareness of proximity warning systems and how they can deliver real safety improvement and value to their users.”

David Perez, Chief Executive Officer at GKD Technologies, commented:

“For over twenty years, GKD have been supporting construction and heavy industries with safety solutions. Our ambition is to help reduce the risk to all workers and to support our customers to fulfill their long-term health and safety goals. SensorZone makes everyone on-site responsible for safety because of its unique triple alert, by engaging all parties involved we consistently see evidence of positive behavioral change. Our SafetyZone platform then provides users with visibility and insight so that they can consistently measure and track safety performance over time.”
