Sponsored Post Launching and sustaining a successful company that can turn even the best idea into a real-world product or service is no easy task. This is where the good folks at the new Google for Startups Accelerator come in.

Their mission is to nurture fledgling companies by providing expertise and technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), big data and machine learning.

The new 10-week equity-free Google Startups Accelerator: AI First program is aimed at Seed to Series A startups based in Europe and Israel. It has been launched to connect the best of Google’s products and people to empower startups to scale their business in the rapidly evolving landscape of AI and technology, explains Pati Jurek, Google for Startups Accelerators program, in the Reg Video below.

Applications are currently being accepted: the Google Startups Accelerator: AI First program opened for new applications on 21 June and will be closed on 30 July. The program will fully kick off on 23 September and 23 December will see “graduation” for the participants as they demo products and services they have developed with Google’s help.

Successful applicants will get Google mentorship and technical support. Google also promises to provide deep-dive workshops to help them optimize their operations and technologies.

Our El Reg Video features insight from leaders of the tech startups that are already part of the program including German banking fintech ecolytiq and Northern Ireland-based Responsible, which aims to create a platform for sustainability and circularity in pre-owned fashion. They are joined by Earth Blox, which provides climate and nature analytics from satellite imagery, and eevie, which has developed an employee climate engagement platform. Also sharing their experiences of Google’s program are Mortar IO, a built environment decarbonization specialist, and Single.Earth, which offers an ecosystem where landowners, people, and businesses come together to protect the environment.

Google’s Jurek says: “There are so many great ideas out there and our message is very clear: Google can help you make it happen. We are just getting started now.”
