Nasdaq, Inc. (Nasdaq: NDAQ) announced on Thursday that it had appointed Johan Torgeby to its Board of Directors. According to the press release, Torgeby’s appointment expands the Board to 11 directors.
Since joining SEB from Morgan Stanley in 2009, Torgeby has held a variety of positions within the Large Corporates & Financial Institutions division before becoming its Co-Head and member of the Group Executive Committee in 2014. As of 2017, he is the President and CEO of the company.
His educational background includes a degree in economics from the Lund University, Sweden, as well as executive positions at SEB, the Swedish Bankers’ Association, as well as Mölnlycke Holding AB.
“Johan’s extensive financial services and global leadership experience, with a particular focus on investor protection and risk management , will bring invaluable insights to the Nasdaq Board.
