However, in a Twitter Space held today, the team suggested that NBA legends and current players will be involved. The official HEIR Discord server further noted that players from the high school level up to professionals will also be included. HEIR is envisioned as a Web3 personalized community platform for athletes. Contents on the app will include exclusive behind-the-scenes videos of what the athletes watched on Netflix. Athletes also will be able to host live Q&As and post polls and quizzes. Fans who are highly engaged on the platform will be rewarded by unlocking digital goods. How Will HEIR Generate Revenue? Heir will generate revenue from consumers purchasing memberships in an athlete’s “huddle.” Athletes will get an 80% cut of primary sales of NFTs while the app will keep 20%. On subsequent sales, the revenue is split equally. HEIR raised $10 million in seed funding in a round led by Thrive Capital, alongside participants including Solana Ventures, along with co-founder of Reddit  Alexis Ohanian, New York Knicks EVP and senior basketball adviser William Wesley, and Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball.
