Offchain Labs’ vision for scaling Ethereum has been years in the making. Just today, Offchain Labs announced that it already opened up Arbitrum One for everyone. It was last May 29, 2021, when it introduced Arbitrum One to the public.

Offchain Labs’ vision for scaling Ethereum has been years in the making. So, since its initial release last May, Arbitrum One has helped hundreds of teams complete their deployments. Offchain Labs are committed to giving these teams a fair launch. Moreover, to deliver this pledge, Offchain Labs will open up Arbitrum to users and their projects, at the same time. Despite that, each project will still have the choice to go live or not.
This day is an important milestone for Offchain Labs. However, it reiterated that Aributrum One is still in beta. According to the report,
While today’s release is a significant milestone, Arbitrum One is still in beta. We’ll be closely monitoring the launch and maintaining the ability to do fast upgrades and even pause the system should it become necessary.
With this, Offchain Labs ensured that the network will work seamlessly in today’s launch. In the report, Offchain Labs stated that its goal is to “ease into the launch” and “remain fair” to all projects. In addition, they mentioned that
Arbitrum is a community project, and our goal is to create a home for everyone.
Furthermore, Offchain Labs also mentioned that it removed several restrictions regarding who can transact within its network. However, it will continue to have a whitelist in place when it comes to adding new tokens to its bridge.
Additionally, the report emphasized Arbitrum’s qualities like fast bridging, pausing the network when there are anomalies, and of course, the additional bug bounty program that Immunifi manages.
To conclude, Offchain Labs stressed that,
