Omori Is Now Out on Consoles, So Check on Your Friends

Omori, the game that took almost a decade to release and had to warn us about its depiction of depression and anxiety, is now out for even more people to play.

Look at the picture above. It looks so heartwarming. Everyone is so colorful except for Omori himself who looks like me being forced to take a family picture. You just know this game has some dark themes. I cannot even begin to tell you all the dark places I went to in my head when being forced into family outings.

When Omori was released on Steam, I remember being so excited to play that I installed it and did not play it for a couple of days because I was not ready to get hit with an emotional rock.

Unfortunately, it was not just a rock that did me in, it was a giant spaceship painted like a boulder that crashed into my skull with the force of gravity on Jupiter. The first playthrough was rough. It was not just a whimsical Earthbound-like game that made my depression worse, but it also scared me.

Yes, it is also a horror game of all things.

I mean, just look at it, everyone looks so happy.

Even the little bunnies in the game look so cute.

There are going to be a lot of people picking this game up not knowing what to expect. I mean, they get the general idea that the game is going to be quirky, and there is a warning screen before you play warning you that the game goes in some dark places, but that is the understatement of the century.

Check on your friends.
