SEC Should’ve Given Approval to a Bitcoin ETF Long Ago: Hester Pierce

Heister Pierce, who is well-known as the “Crypto Mom,” believes that the company she works at, the Securities and Exchange, SEC should have shown a green light to a BTC ETF some years ago. Releasing a comment on the Bitcoin ETF in an interview with CNBC, Peirce released a statement on whether the regulator of the country will ultimately authenticate such a product.

Talking about the Bitcoin ETF, Heister Peirce said that the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States will ultimately authenticate such a product.

In addition to this, she said that this is probably the most significant and most frequently asked question keeping in mind the immeasurable rejections for the ETF which tracks the performance of Bitcoin, and mentioned the methods that have grown old.

Heister Pierce addressed the fact that they have applied their standards as they have applied them to other products and said:

“I thought that if we had applied our standards as we have applied them to other products, we would already have approved one or more of them. With each passing day, the rationale that we have used in the past for not approving seems to grow weaker.”

Applications Regarding The Various Attempts In The Introductions of a BTC ETF

In accordance with the recent application by VanEck as the Commission is still reviewing a few of the efforts that it is continuing to delay the final decision.

Canada has reportedly shown a notably more favorable approach as they are already 3 Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds operating as of this year. 

Along with this, the commission is still reviewing that it continues to delay the final decision as it has done with the most recent application of VanEck.
