Successful OTK Games Expo Preludes New Deal With WePlay Esports

Yesterday was a busy day for OTK Media, but also a very successful and important one too.

The company hosted its first OTK Media Games Expo, which featured a total of 30 indie game development studios who showcased their projects in an attempt to win either the $30,000 first prize or the $20,000 second prize.

In addition, there were also several Razer PC Prizes to be won by the lucky winner.

Hosted by streaming duo Asmongold, Nmplol and Rich Campbell, the expo proved to be a huge success and the two big winners on the day proved to be the second place finishing Axan Gray, whose action title Neodash earned them $20,000.

However, the top prize went to RDBK Studios party game title Renown, which earned the company $30,000 in prize money.

Despite the successful hosting of their first EXPO, it was other news on the same day, also showcased at the EXPO event that has OTK Games fans excited.

Deal With WePlay Esports

The deal announced on Tuesday through Asmongold’s Twitch stream revealed that OTK Media has agreed a new partnership with the We Play Esports company as a strategic investor and production partner.

And as part of that deal, it means that OTK will be allowed to use WePlay’s brand new Los Angeles studio for a range of different live broadcasts, the first of which was yesterday’s Game Expo.

WePlay is ideally positioned to help OTK Media make significant improvements to their productions using its bespoke studio in Los Angeles, their second such studio after the opening of another in Kyiv previously.

Tips Out, the COO of OTK Media explained that the deal was part of an overarching plan to help his company improve their content.

We’ve really tried to push the envelope over what content creation can be,” he stated.

Moving forward, we’ve got an awesome production partner to help us out with that.

It is a long way from the one-camera set up the company used to operate from 18 months previously.

VR and AR Capability

The fact that the WePlay Studio in Los Angeles has VR and AR capability gives OTK Media an incredible range of versatility in how it can enhance current shows, such as “Schooled” and “Parasocial” in the new studio.

In addition, the company is also believed to be working with WePlay to develop a range of new shows for customers.

Rich Campbell confirmed these ambitions, stating: “We are excited to open the doors of our new home to the OTK community, with plans in store to utilise the space for esports events, live shows and mixed-reality content.

OTK first began life in Austin, Texas in 2020 as a team that competed professionally in World of Warcraft. Their success playing the game attracted attention from some of the best WoW streamers, as well as companies from around the globe.

The company now operates teams in many other esports including CS:GO and League of Legends.

With WePlay events proving very popular with streamers, esports fans and many esports betting enthusiasts, this move marks a step into the big time for OTK and it is an exciting time for the company as it seeks to increase and diversify its esports industry presence.
