Team Reacts As Number of Shiba Inu Addresses Reaches New All-Time High

The number of Shiba Inu addresses hits a new all-time high as the community anticipates the mainnet launch of Shibarium. 

Shiba Inu has recently achieved a remarkable milestone, reaching a new all-time high (ATH) in the number of addresses holding the token. 

According to data from IntoTheBlock, Shiba Inu has amassed a total of 3.51 million addresses since its inception. The last all-time high was recorded in May. At the time, the number of addresses stood at 3.23 million. 

Interestingly, the number of Shiba Inu addresses has surged tremendously in recent months. Notably, SHIB’s number of addresses saw a massive increase last month. Over the past seven days, the number of addresses holding the canine-themed token soared by 22%. 

Shiba Inu Team Reacts 

The spike in the number of Shiba Inu’s addresses has stirred reactions from enthusiasts of the cryptocurrency. It is interesting to note that the team behind the cryptocurrency also reacted to the development. 

In a recent tweet, the team said its community has been growing at “warp speed.” 

“We’ve just reached an all-time high in the number of addresses holding SHIB, witnessing a remarkable 22% increase in the past week,” it said. 

Furthermore, the team welcomed all new holders of the cryptocurrency. 

Number of Shiba Inu Non-empty Wallets Surges  

Meanwhile, Shiba Inu achieved another extraordinary feat this week. The number of non-empty Shiba Inu wallets also reached new highs. 

Data from IntoTheBlock also shows that a whopping 1.24 million addresses are holding SHIB. Notably, this figure accounts for 35.3% of all Shiba Inu holders. 

Community Anticipates Shibarium Launch 

Several factors can be attributed to the influx of new Shiba Inu holders. However, the upcoming launch of Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s layer-2 (L2) blockchain, tops the list. 

There has been enormous hype surrounding the L2 network, which is expected to roll out exciting advancements to the Shiba Inu ecosystem. 

Shibarium will solve Shiba Inu’s scalability challenges, leading to the widespread adoption of the network. Shiba Inu’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama hinted that the Shibarium mainnet launch could take place in mid-August during the Blockchain Futuristic Conference.
