The debut of TON Space, a revolutionary self-custody wallet that provides users total control over their digital assets, has been announced by Wallet, the TON-based application in Telegram Messenger. A waitlist for developers to integrate with TON Space in beta has been opened in conjunction with the release of this forthcoming product.

Developers who sign up for the waitlist right away will have early access to TON Space for integration into their products. Developers can create apps using the Telegram user interface and its seamless blockchain connectivity with the TON Space wallet with the help of TON Space. In this manner, the entire user experience—from onboarding to accessing Web3—would be contained within the Telegram app. This addresses the two key barriers to crypto adoption: audience access and frictionless onboarding and offers a complete solution to Web3 developers worldwide. App creators must have their applications ready for the TON Space consumer launch, which is anticipated to happen by the end of Q3 2023. The Wallet team anticipates supporting NFT Collectibles and trading services by this time.

Jordan Dunne, Head of DeFi at Wallet, said: “The developers’ beta is a critical moment in launching the first self-custodial wallet built into a thriving Web2 platform. The introduction of TON Space will allow blockchain developers to build Web3 services that feel like the intuitive mobile app experiences users have every day. Easy-to-use and all without ever leaving Telegram, with 800 million users every month, this opens up a staggering growth opportunity for builders.”

“The launch of TON Space is a significant milestone that establishes a new infrastructure layer for the TON ecosystem,” says Justin Hyun, Director of Growth at TON Foundation. “The power to build decentralized applications and bots fully integrated inside of Telegram cannot be underestimated. These services, and their users, will now enjoy the infinite possibilities that come with the power to store, manage, and trade assets within Telegram.”

The most frequently requested feature by users who want to use the TON blockchain’s full functionality within Telegram is the self-custodial wallet, TON Space. Users will be able to connect their self-custodial wallet to apps created on Telegram, all contained within one ecosystem, which is one of the distinctive features of TON Space.
