And lastly: the goal of this pre-product period is to ensure that FIAT protocol is deployed as a community. The Jubilee, DAO staking rewards, and liquidity mining rewards all help to distribute say over FIAT DAO across a wide set of future users and community members.
As a staker in the FIAT DAO, you’ll have the ability to lock your stake for up to two years. Doing so amplifies your voting FDT score up to 2x and allows you to have an outsized say in the DAO, and later in the protocol. While $FDT rewards to stakers will be allocated by the amount staked, rather than by vFDT balance, we are looking to further reward early stakers who commit to aligning themselves with FIAT DAO for the long-term.
Enter: the Age of Romulus.
The Age of Romulus is a collection of five NFTs that will be dropped to certain FIAT DAO stakers between November 15th and December 20th. These NFTs will provide privileged access to increasingly exclusive tiers of liquidity mining. And yes, they move.
The drop will work as follows:
- Your vFDT will be snapshotted at random once per week
- You will receive that week’s NFT if you meet the criteria
- The snapshot vFDT criteria get progressively more exclusive
- Rarer NFTs then confer access to higher-rewarding liquidity mining
You’ll be able to track your position via a user interface on the FIAT DAO website. It will tell you your current ranking by vFDT; what NFT is currently up for grabs; how much additional vFDT you would need to make the cutoff; and what the next NFT is and what its conditions will be. The NFTs themselves will be tradable on platforms like OpenSea, with secondary royalties going to the FIAT DAO treasury.
