FTX, one of the world’s busiest exchanges, collaborated with Yield Guild Games, a Filipino-owned gaming guild, to sponsor more players in their profit-sharing Axie infinity scholarship program.

FTX scholars represent 81 players from the Philippines, 25 from Indonesia, 10 from India, 15 from Latin America and 6 from Brazil.

“As fans of both gaming and making a positive impact, we’re excited to partner with Yield Guild Games who have created a truly unique way for new audiences to gain exposure to crypto”, Sam Bankman-Fried, Founder and CEO of FTX said. Further, FTX also closed some major sponsorship deals with virtual league sports this year, including Major League Baseball and National Basketball Associations (NBA) Miami Heat.

In other news, Yield Guild Games Co-Founder Gabby Dizon recently welcomed Jeff Holmberg as their new Head of Investments and Strategy.Meanwhile, Axie Infinity already breached more than 1 million daily active users and became the first NFT game to ever reach more than 1 billion in sales.

According to Jiho, Co-founder and Growth Lead of Axie Infinity in his recent tweet, “Congrats on 1 billion in lifetime Axie sales. This is a fundamental shift in how games are played. This is the evolution of games to their final form: digital nations.”
