As the two Europe RMR groups entered the second day, history was about to be made.

Over at the Americas RMR in Stockholm, you might be surprised to see that none of Brazil’s biggest teams made it through the first two rounds unscathed while they’re fighting for a spot at their home Major. 9z broke the Brazilian fans’ hearts twice in their run to qualifying matches for IEM Rio, beating 00NAȚIUNE și imperial in two overtime affairs after coming back from 7-14 on Overpass against the former and 2-13 on Nuke against the latter.

FURY are also 1-1 now along with their aforementioned compatriots after falling short to Genii malefice, who will face 9z next for direct qualification to Rio. Complexitate și Lichid are on a collision course in the 2-0 pool as well, the latter having looked rather shaky as they escaped from MIBR‘s claws after overtime on Ancient.

Five teams will qualify for Rio on day 3

Things are starting to heat up as both European RMRs and the Americas RMR are heading into the third round of play on Thursday, where we’ll see the winners of the following matches clinch a spot at IEM Rio. One more 2-0 match will take place on Friday between ENCE și BIG.
