Last week, we put on our fanciest couture and strutted the catwalk in Eltrim333’s ELNOVA Spring Goddess Edition, a place where you can hold your own fashion show or just relax and contemplate the world’s peaceful beauty.

This week, we spent some time with flamingoFox, the kreator of, among other worlds, Božič Cosy at Home—a cheerful house “in the town of Meta” where you can rest by the fire, play in the backyard, sit down at a table with friends, or make some new ones.

Kakšno je vaše ozadje in kaj vas je navdušilo za VR?

I’m a voice actor, writer, and artist. I’ve always been creative, and I first got into Horizon Worlds because I was looking for another medium for my art. I had done some 3D modeling in the past, but I found that because Horizon Worlds’ building tools are actually in VR, they really streamline the creation process. And because of that, I was able to start building right away.

Na čem črpate navdih pri gradnji v Horizon Worlds?

I tend to draw from my own life experiences when making any kind of art. My first world in Horizon Worlds was inspired by the very first real vacation I ever took—I was 41 at the time—with my partner and their family. I wanted to encapsulate parts of that experience so others could enjoy them as much as I did.

Kaj želite, da ljudje odnesejo iz svojih izkušenj z vašimi svetovi?

A sense of peace and hope. Every day brings with it something new as well as the possibility of change. The beauty of the world and of the people we choose to keep close to us reminds us how special and important this universe, and each of us in it, are.

Ste programer/ustvarjalec vaša dnevna služba ali to vidite kot hobi?

No, but my partner is. I’m an artist, and I think more in colors and sounds, not bits and bytes. Eventually, when I can use it as a medium for selling my art, I hope that Horizon Worlds can become a part of my professional career.

Ali sodelujete z drugimi, in če da, kakšna je ta izkušnja za vas?

I have collaborated with others, and I love the Horizon Worlds community, but I’m more of a solo creator. It’s just easier for my raw ideas to flow forth when I don’t have to simplify them for anyone else to understand. I’ve found that attempting to translate my process completely changes it.

Pazi Vadnice Vidyuu! They helped me understand more about the Horizon Worlds creation tools, and they quickly changed the way I built. They’re an absolutely essential starting point.

Kakšen je po vašem mnenju končni potencial za Horizon Worlds?

Making connections with others in the Horizon Worlds community. In the end, that’s what this is all about. I used to suffer from extreme agoraphobia, and I couldn’t even leave my house to go food shopping. Horizon Worlds helped me conquer that and regain some control over my life.

Katera je vaša najljubša VR izkušnja?

Overcoming my fear of other people and gaining enough confidence to launch my voice acting career. That wouldn’t have happened without Horizon Worlds. I just want to say thank you so much to everyone who’s helped make that possible.
