Guinness World Records tilldelar Bitcoin som första decentraliserade kryptovaluta

Guinness World Records has recognized Bitcoin’s contribution to the crypto space as the Första decentraliserade kryptovalutan following its creation by Satoshi Nakamoto på januari 3, 2009.

This award marks the second from Guinness World Records the coin has picked up, with Bitcoin also boasting the recorded as the ‘Oldest cryptocurrency’.

Guinness World Records have now many blockchain and cryptocurrency-based records added to their world-famous archives. Other contributions include ‘Första NFT', awarded to Quantum which was minted in 2014, as well as ‘Most expensive NFT artwork (limited edition)' awarded to EVERYDAYS: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS” by digital artist Beeple.

Some more unpleasant entries include the ‘First seizure of cryptocurrency' och den 'Largest cryptocurrency hack".

This is just another indicator of how mainstream kryptovaluta is becoming that even mediums that are generally concerned with ‘real-world’ information are taking note of the accomplishments of the more nuanced and niche segments of the digital space.
