Comedian Steve Harvey changed his profile picture to the Solana Monkey Business NFT and its scene picked up quite a bit amidst the surging value for the SOL cryptocurrency. Solana was one of the hottest cryptocurrencies as of late and it increased in value from a price of about $37 a month ago to an ATH of $197 as per coinGecko. Rising network activity was credited for the swing and now Harvey is getting on the Solana NFT hype as well.

He changed his Twitter profile picture to that of an NFT Solana Monkey Business Collection. An NFT serves as a deed of ownership for almost any kind of digital item and profile pictures collections like the Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunk are in high demand as of late. Both CryptoPunks and Bored Apes are based on Ethereum which is considered the most active platform for NFT collectibles. OpenSea on the other hand registered more than $3.4 billion worth of NFT trading volume on Ethereum and the vast majority of the top-trading NFT projects live on the blockchain network.

Solana started to fight, however. The “ethereum killer” is an energy-efficient blockchain network, at least more than ethereum, and it is capable of handling a larger volume of transactions with fewer fees. A few weeks ago, the NFTs on Solana was not a part of the conversation among the collections but they are looking for new buyers and are driving demand on the rising platform. Solana Monkey Business is one of the latest NFT collections to find an audience on Solana after the drops like Aurora and اپی اکیڈمی کو ڈیجینریٹ کریں۔ Both of the collections were credited with boosting activity on the platform and their respective drop coincided with teh increase in the price of Solana’s SOL token over the past few weeks.

According to the data from Solanalysis, NFT collectibles on Solana generated about $94 million worth of trading volume over the past week. The Solana Monkey Business has a weekly volume mark of $6.2 million placing it on the third on the list behind the aforementioned projects. YouTube personality KSI also changed the avatar on his Twitter profile to the one of Solana Monkey Business NFT today. Harvey didn’t tweet about the decision to change his profile picture but this is not his first fling with NFTs and the crypto world. Harvey partnered with NFT marketplace Rarible to sell his own NFTs to benefit charity. He said that he owns Bitcoin and Ethereum once.
