Astralis will attempt to qualify for the IEM Rio Major without k0nfig
The Danish powerhouse will fight at the all-important tournament for a spot at the IEM Rio Major with one of their academy players, MistR, who has supposedly been submitted as their official substitute player ahead of the roster deadline for the RMR event.
This will come as a big blow to Astralis‘ chances at the stacked Major-qualifying tournament, where 16 teams will compete including the likes of heavyweights فیجی, G2, پاجاما میں Ninjas، اور Cloud9 and eight will advance to IEM Rio.
While often criticized for his inconsistency, k0nfig has played a key role in some of Astralis‘ best performances so far in 2022, such as in their run to the semi-finals at IEM Cologne and to top-eight finishes at ESL Pro League Season 15 and IEM Katowice.
