Audius launches Solana NFT integration 

Audius, a blockchain music-streaming platform, announced that it has successfully launched a full Solana NFT integration. 

Through this integration, Audius can finally provide its more than 6 million fans an opportunity to dive into Solana’s massive library of NFT assets. 

Thanks to Phantom, Solana’s multi-chain wallet and browser extension, the integration of the two platforms became smooth and successful. The Solana access will be available for Audius’ silver tier profiles. 

Innovative partnerships

“Tooling from Metaplex and the Audius integration with Phantom made it possible to ship Solana support while maintaining the usability bar that Audius has become known for,” Roneil Rumburg, Audius’ co-founder and chief executive officer, said. 

The Metaplex that Rumburg mentioned is also an NFT marketplace that was launched last June on the Solana network. Some of the high-profile figures in Hollywood and the business industry have endorsed this new platform. 

Prior to its Solana integration, Audius has made headlines with its partnership with TikTok, which is one of the most popular apps in the world. Through this collaboration, Audius users can finally share songs directly on TikTok when creating short videos. This deal would certainly boost Audius as TikTok currently has 1 billion active users a month. 

Rise of NFTs

NFTs have been around for a while, but it has rocketed into popularity only this year. Thanks to celebrity endorsements and big-ticket purchases, the public has become more and more aware of these digital assets. 

Sales of NFTs reached $900 million last month, which was a big leap from its May record of $255 million. 

And as NFTs’ value grows even further, celebrities, investors, and NFT enthusiasts are becoming more willing to spend dizzying figures on NFTs because of their continuously rising value. CryptoPunks, ETHRocks, and Bored Apes are some of the most popular (and most valuable) NFTs to date.
