During a court proceeding, it emerged that an individual on trial for embezzling $110 million from the Mango Markets cryptocurrency platform conducted searches for phrases such as “elements of fraud” and “statute of limitations market manipulation,” according to the trial evidence.

The prosecution contends that on October 11, 2022, Avraham Eisenberg engaged in the manipulation of Mango Markets’ futures contracts, remarkably increasing the value of swaps by 1,300% within a span of 20 minutes. Subsequently, he leveraged these overvalued contracts through undisclosed accounts to extract funds and then absconded from Puerto Rico to Israel.
