  • FilDA suffered a $700K hack on ESC and REI Network.
  • FilDA halted ESC and Rei platforms and is investigating the attack.
  • FilDA is working with CEX and law enforcement to trace the hacker.

FilDA, a multi-chain lending protocol, recently disclosed a $700K hack on the ESC and REI Network. The attackers moved 80K $ELA to BNBChain and exchanged it for about 326 $BNB, which they then deposited into Tornado Cash.

Reports further indicate that the exploiters transferred 200K $ELA to Ethereum, converted it to approximately 17 $ETH, and transferred 160K $ELA and $ETH. In response to the hack, FilDA took to Twitter to announce that it had identified the vulnerability and isolated the attack vector.

However, the firm added that the ESC and Rei FilDA platforms have been halted temporarily as a precautionary measure. Based on the sources, the suspension will last until a comprehensive review of the situation has been completed and security measures have been implemented to prevent a similar attack.

According to FilDA, the platform exploit was detected in the early morning hours, and the team is currently investigating the on-chain activity associated with it. In collaboration with CEX, security experts, and ecosystem partners, FilDA is working to trace and monitor the addresses involved in the hack.

As per FilDA, the discovery of links to IP addresses and interactions with CEX accounts has given them a starting point. In light of the severity of the situation, they will involve law enforcement in pursuing the perpetrator. Additionally, affected users are urged to contact their local law enforcement to ensure they are aware of the theft and can assist in the investigation.
