Meet the first-ever amusement park to accept bitcoin payments 

Bitcoin’s adoption just keeps on expanding every day and, today, the world’s most valuable crypto would have another new use, this time, as payments for an amusement park. 

PortAventura, a Spanish amusement park, has recently announced that it is currently developing software that would add cryptocurrencies to one of the company’s payments options. 

The amusements park will be making history as the first one in its industry to do such a move. It also said that it would not only allow crypto payments for its rides but also for its hotels as well. 

Riding in the trend

David García Blancas, managing director of PortAventura World, said the company decided to add bitcoin as one of its payment options because more and more people are adopting it every day. He added that PortAventura anticipates that its visitors are already well-versed with cryptos and are already using them. 

The amusement park, which is located in Catalonia, Spain, is one of the biggest entertainment resorts in Europe. It has a giant aqua park, Ferrari Land, and six hotels with 2,300 rooms. 

But while PortAventura will certainly become the first amusement park to accept cryptos, its hotels came a “bit late” into the crypto adoption. Before Port Aventura’s announcement, Pavilions Hotels & Resorts had already jumped into cryptos as early as July.  

Cryptos in the medical field

Cryptocurrency adoption continues to expand in various fields. Todos Medical, a biotechnology company, has announced that it would accept crypto payments for its “Tollovid” and “Tollovid Daily” supplements. 

Todos Medical said that it would accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Dogecoin for crypto payments. 

“The ability to accept widely utilized cryptocurrency is an important step as we broaden our marketing efforts around our novel 3CL protease inhibitor wellness products,” Gerald E. Commissiong, president and chief executive officer of Todos Medical, said.
