misutaaa won three trophies during his time with Vitality

His departure comes as no surprise, with reports surfacing this off-season suggesting that Vitality were pursuing ENCE‘s star rifler Lotan “Spinx” Giladi to replace misutaaa. Most recently, 1pv.fr reported that misutaaa already had a new team lined up, with Falcons interested in signing him alongside Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt.

Report: NBK- and misutaaa to join Falcons

misutaaa joined Vitality back in March of 2020, replacing outgoing IGL Alex “ALEX” McMeekin. Since that time Vitality won three trophies, IEM Beijing-Haidian, BLAST Premier Fall Finals 2020, and IEM Winter 2021, and they also twice briefly held the No. 1 spot in the world rankings in the latter half of 2020.

Since the team was revamped with the addition of the multi-Major winning Danish core of Danny “zonic” Sørensen, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen and Emil “Magisk” Reif at the start of this year, results have not lived up to the billing. The team has regularly failed to make the playoffs of Big Events, and suffered major low points such as an 0-2 loss to SKADE to crash out of Pinnacle Cup II in March.

A run to the final of BLAST Premier Spring Finals in June was not enough to prevent Vitality seeking Spinx as a replacement for misutaaa.
