Two siblings, named Ishaan and Aanya Thakur, are earning an astounding $32,000 a month from their ethereum venture, which they started in their garage, Dallas News reported.
According to the siblings, their interest in cryptocurrencies started when their father told them about the wonders of Bitcoin. At that time, the siblings were already interested in cryptocurrencies, but the cryptos’ price at that time was so high, that is why they ventured into mining instead.
But they soon found out that Bitcoin is already a saturated market, that is why they chose to venture into Ethereum.
Laptop mining
The siblings started mining Ethereum on an old gaming laptop, and in the first month of their venture, they were able to mine $1,000. The siblings were so motivated by the earnings they generated that they decided to continue with their newfound venture.
The siblings wanted to expand their operation, but because of the global pandemic, there was a sudden shortage of microchips because countries all over the world have gone into lockdown.
This situation made it hard for the siblings to find the needed chips for their planned expansion. At that time, they had two options, buy from resellers online (which can be more expensive) or just wait for chips to become available. The two chose to wait instead.
Chipping away problems
With new chips in their possession, they were able to expand their operation. Now, they are conducting their crypto mining in an air-conditioned data center in Dallas. They are saving a part of their earnings to buy new chips and another part to pay their electricity bills.
From earning $1,000 per month, the siblings are now earning $32,000 monthly, which is an impressive feat for their age.
