Solana Wallet Phantom Integrated Password Manager 1Password

The Solana wallet Phantom integrated Password manager 1Password so the users will be able to store their credentials and private keys with the manager as we can see more today in our latest blockchain news.

Phantom Wallet is a Solana-focused wallet that announced it will join forces with 1Password as a popular password management platform to make accessing the wallet much more simple. According to the announcement, 1Password will integrate its Save In 1Password API with Phantom. The integration means that rather than having to manage long login credentials made up of strings of characters, words, and numbers the users can save all their Phantom wallet credentials and private keys to the manager. Jeff Shiner who is the CEO of 1Password said:

“Crypto innovations are reshaping the world, but for many, it seems too confusing or risky to join this transformation.”

As per Shiner, the partnership between 1Password and Phantom will simplify the access to crypto for existing investors while also lowering the barrier for entry for everyone eager to buy and trade digital assets via a platform they know and trust. Securing the assets to crypto is becoming even more of a pressing issue in light of last month’s reports by Chainalysis. The company estimates that about $3.2 billion worth of crypto was stolen from wallets and exchanges a year ago and about $2.2 billion of those funds were stolen from DEFI protocols. The co-founder of Solana Anatoly Yakovenko noted:

“People should always transact securely and safely online but people also need help to understand and trust the tools they are using.”

The Solana wallet Phantom merged with 1Password and this teaming up is one example of how people can easily and quickly protect their digital assets that should help expand in the long run blockchain usages to billions of users. Based out of Toronto, 1Password is a management and credentials security platform that served over 100,000 consumers and businesses across the world including the likes of Slack, Shopify, and IBM. The CEO of Phantom Brandon Millman said:

“1Password shares our commitment to help bring Web3 mainstream by making the user experience safe and easy-to-use.”
