So… The Binance NFT marketplace has been very quiet since its launch… but that doesn’t mean that there are no quality projects there.
Views expressed are purely personal, and this is NOT financial advice!
In this article, I’m going a bit out of my typically technical topic to talk about this new NFT marketplace.
Is this a good time to look at the Binance NFT projects? Maybe!
To start, the Binance NFT marketplace is one of the most recent in the NFT space. However, from one side, the platform is still lacking features, and you cannot transfer your purchased NFT to your Metamask or sell it on another marketplace (they are working on it).
Additionally, Binance is one of the biggest crypto exchanges in the market, with more than 13 Million users! This means that they can create strong communities around the projects that they sponsor! Additionally, they didn’t start to promote the marketplace, and CZ didn’t tweet about the Cyber Dobermans, which is something I’m really looking for!
On the other hand, some advantages make me believe that the Binance NFT marketplace may be incubating exciting projects such as the Cyber Dobermans!
The good thing is that the fees are very low. The Binance NFT marketplace works on the BSC — Binance Smart Chain — which is far cheaper when comparing to the current Ethereum gas fees that you need to pay every time you mint a new NFT.
On the Binance NFT marketplace, creators also get perpetual 1% royalties every time someone trades the NFT on the platform.
Currently, only pre-approved creators are allowed to mint NFTs, meaning that users/investors can trust a little better than they are not buying a scam. So yes, please be careful when you buy NFTs from OpenSea and always do your due diligence. Be especially careful when the price of an NFT looks too good to be true.
One more good thing about this NFT marketplace is that the team manually reviews all the NFTs to ensure quality standards.
Big NFT marketplaces come with big partnerships
One of the biggest art museums in the world (yes, physical art) partnered with Binance. In Russia, the State Hermitage Museum, home of some huge artists like Monet, Kandinsky, Van Gogh and Leonardo da Vinci, is starting to work with Binance to tokenise their artwork. This is totally MINDBLOWING!!!
Or if you prefer a da Vinci and have deeper pockets…:
But if I can’t afford to buy a Leonardo da Vinci NFT… what can I get?
Great question! Binance has been silently promoting 3 projects: Lucky Doge ROK and Zootopia.
I don’t know well about the others, but under Zootopia, you have 3 collections: Sir. Lion Swag, the Crypto Shark and my favourite, the Cyber Doberman!
Why do I like the Cyber Doberman NFTs?
The Cyber Doberman is a generative collection(meaning that a graphic designer was designing the traits but a computer algorithm putting them together to create the NFTs).
Unlike many projects that mint 10 000 NFTs, there will be only 3 000 Cyber Dobermans, creating additional scarcity to the project.
Additionally, the secrete of collecting good potential NFTs at a reasonable price is to enter these projects in a very early stage. This is still the case for the Cyber Doberman NFT.
If you got a Cryptopunk in late 2017, you could get it almost for free.
If you got a Bored Ape in April 2021, you could buy it for an average of 0.16 ETH, while in September, the average price is 40 ETH (i.e. around 130 000 dollars). 🤯
By the way, the Cyber Dobermans are exclusive on Binance. If you find them on a different marketplace like OpenSean, they are probably a scam. Be careful.
It seems that until now, there was ZERO marketing around the Cyber Doberman NFT collection, and this is one of the reasons why I like them so much! No hype means that I can afford to buy some of these gorgeous NFTs (at least for now):
You have to agree with me, these Cyber Dobermans are dope! Mohawk hair, facemasks, goggles, laser eyes, military caps, aviation jackets, tattoos…! I want all of them!
Ok, so…. did you fall in love already with the Cyber Dobermans?
Any potential to be the next Bored Ape?
Let me know your thoughts! Can these NFT collections have any potential? Are the Cyber Dobermans any cute? Potential avatar for your profile or a Metaverse world?
