Southeast Asia’s esports and gaming touchstone Tier One Entertainment has launched “Alliance” – its incubator program for web3 content creators. The company said it will curate a list of web3 content creators and train them to become opinion leaders in the blockchain and crypto industry, with future plans to take the program globally.

Tier One Entertainment, which has more than 260 million followers across its brands, gaming talents, and content creators, said it will utilize its expertise in content creator management and leverage its marketing machinery for the Alliance Program.

“As a company that has multi-millions in following in the Web2 space, our role is to be able to help bring the attention and the traffic and help contribute to the mainstream adaptation of Web3. We are confident that our future plans for Web3 will help bring a new generation of users to the exciting space,” Tryke Gutierrez, CEO of Tier One Entertainment said.

The Alliance program’s first cohort includes the following individuals:

  1. Jared Dillinger, PBA player
  2. Chris Tan, holistic wellness coach
  3. Crisostomo “Chibiby” Tan Jr, gaming content creator
  4. John Sedano, multimedia creative
  5. Patty Tiu, DJ and producer
  6. Timi Sky, architect and artist
  7. Janina Manipol, filmmaker and entrepreneur
  8. Myrtle Ramos, Block Tides founder
  9. Marvin Germo, Stock Smarts CEO
  10. Emman Navalan, Tetrix CEO

Tier One’s Tyrone Anthony Bretaña will be the Head of Alliance. Bretaña was previously Business Development Manager at GCash and Senior Business Development Manager at Foodpanda.

With an early adopter mentality, Tyrone has the vision to lead the ALLIANCE into becoming a global collective that will drive traffic and mainstream adoption of Web 3 while promoting the values of authenticity, relevance, and legitimacy, the company stated.

First announced in August 2022, the Alliance program is intended to build a web3 influencer community, thus providing value to the nascent space as well as to the Tier One brand. This is according to Adam Vinluan, Tier One’s VP of Crypto. “The main value we think we will bring in web3 is our ability to generate and bring traffic through viewership and customer conversion,” he said in a previous interview.

[Alliance is] going to be a developmental program for multiple KOLs (key opinion leaders) and influencers in the web3 space, because that’s what Tier One does best, CEO Tryke Gutierrez previously said in an interview.

Alliance will join the list of successful programs of Tier One, which include AMPLFY, ARDENT, and ASCEND, responsible for elevating the careers of popular video game streamers and influencers. The company also manages the athletes under mobile esports champion Blacklist International.

Tier One’s key investors include Gobi Partners, Warner Music Group, and Bitkraft, the latter of which has several investments in the web3 industry.

In a recent report, Tier One was also part of LinkedIn’s Top Startups in the Philippines. LinkedIn highlighted the companies which have “shown resilience in an uncertain market environment and are continuing to innovate in 2022.“
