Xinshu Dong — Partner Spotlight #2

Xinshu Dong is a partner at IOSG Ventures, a well-known crypto-focused venture capital fund as well as a cofounder of RockX and Zilliqa. Xinshu has an extensive background in the blockchain industry having co-founded Zilliqa in 2017, and sitting as CEO of the company until May 2019.

IOSG Ventures have a focus on bridging the gap between the East and the West in the blockchain industry. The firm is research and thesis-driven, and a vast portion of its investments have a clear focus on open finance, Web 3.0, and cross-chain interoperability.

IOSG is hands-on and typically work alongside developers to bring promising projects forward and to be involved in the development every step of the way. Some of their most prominent investments include Polkadot, NEAR Protocol, and 1inch.

By now, it’s clear we’re in a multi-chain reality with multifold opportunities for decentralized applications. deBridge is meeting with huge demand as a pioneer in facilitating smooth and efficient transfers of value and assets across different base layers of blockchain. What I’m looking forward to is a very near future where walled gardens have been transformed into fully interconnected decentralized networks. It’s a vision promised by some projects in the past but one that can be truly realized by layer- or chain-agnostic infrastructure such as deBridge.
