cajunb to stand in for Astralis Talent

Astralis have announced that cajunb will stand in for Astralis Talent for the foreseeable future, returning to the server as a replacement for MistR.

The news comes after MistR recently received the call up to the main roster to fill the shoes of Kristian “⁠k0nfig⁠” Wienecke, who is currently out of action as he recovers from a complicated ankle fracture.

cajunb links back up with the Astralis organisation after previously donning the jersey in a four-month stint back in 2016. He became a founding member of the Danish brand’s entry into Counter-Strike alongside the trio of Andreas “⁠Xyp9x⁠” Højsleth, Nicolai “⁠device⁠” Reedtz, and Peter “⁠dupreeh⁠” Rasmussen before being replaced by Markus “⁠Kjaerbye⁠” Kjærbye in May of that year.

While his time with Astralis was short-lived, the cajunb enjoyed considerable success whilst with the aforementioned core under the TSM banner where they secured five titles, namely the PGL Season 1 Finals and the FACEIT League 2015 Stage 2 Finals. cajunb also performed well individually, ranking 15th in the HLTV’s Top 20 players of 2015, boasting a 1.06 rating across 376 maps by the year’s end.

k0nfig to miss Major qualifier following injury

Astralis Talent‘s addition of the Danish veteran sees him return to competitive play for the first time in seven months. The 32-year-old last recorded a match in HLTV’s database was during AGF‘s 9-12th place run through Elisa International Winter 2022, where he played with his now Astralis Talent teammate, Kristoffer “⁠Kristou⁠” Aamand.

Astralis Talent recently finished in fourth-place in WePlay Academy League Season 5, narrowly missing out on a podium finish following a 2-0 loss to eventual runners up, Spirit Academy.
