It’s been weeks since Tesla and SpaceX founder, Elon Musk, has last tweeted something about cryptocurrency. But he came back again with his crypto tweeting spree by replying to the tweet of dogecoin co-founder Billy Marcus.
In his tweet, Marcus highlighted the importance of making Dogecoin “fun”, and getting too “serious” and “militant” about it, he said, diminishes the charm of the crypto meme.
He also made a post way back in 2014 in Reddit, titled “Keep Dogecoin Absurd” echoing the same message, saying that one of Dogecoin’s main purposes is to make fun of cryptocurrencies, in other words, to serve as their parody.
Coming out of hiatus
After Marcus posted his tweet, that’s where Musk emerged again from his “hiatus” and replied with a clicking beer emoji on the posted tweet.
Of course, Musk’s tweet wouldn’t be complete without seeing any movements on cryptocurrencies’ prices. Minutes after his reply, Dogecoin’s price has risen to $0.28 but unlike the previous influences of his tweet, the recent excitement has fizzled out just within the day and brought the price down to $0.25
With newfound time to tweet again, Musk spent considerable time on the platform to seek some “worthy targets” to reply to, which he found on Square CEO Jack Dorsey.
The ‘B’ word
Dorsey tweeted his company’s initiative called “The B Word” which aims to bust the myths and misconceptions about Bitcoin. Musk responded in his tweet, asking if the letter “B” stands for “Bicurious?”
But it appears that the Square CEO “is not in the mood” to engage in fun time with Musk and instead invited him to join with the discussion about busting bitcoin myths.
