ENCE set to bench hades, SunPayus transfer imminent – Report

According to sources with knowledge of the move, ENCE will be benching their starting AWPer, Olek “hades” Miskiewicz. Movistar Riders‘ star AWPer Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia is the front-runner to pick up the Big Green in the international squad, with a deal for the player in the works.

hades will become transferable this off-season

hades was brought on to ENCE in June 2021, when the team’s previous AWPer, Aleksi “allu” Jalli, took an extended break from competition. The Pole then became part of a core that broke new ground for the Finnish organization after going international. They climbed into the top 10 in 2021 and, with the addition of Pavle “Maden” Bošković at the beginning of the year, hit a peak of No. 2 in the world ranking — the same peak ENCE‘s Finnish roster had previously reached.

The 22-year-old’s exit comes after his performances from the lower tiers to the top events didn’t always match up. The odd strong showing, as in during ENCE‘s second-place run at ESL Pro League Season 15, ended up laying in the shadow of a 1.03 Big Event rating and a 0.91 average rating at the Majors.

On the top of ENCE‘s list is SunPayus, and an agreement between the two teams appears imminent. The Spanish 23-year-old was one of the cornerstones of Movistar Riders‘ ascent to winning their first international trophy at ESL Challenger Valencia, reaching the top 10 in the world ranking, and making a semi-final run at IEM Cologne.

ENCE is also working on finding a replacement for Spinx, the Israeli star that has been putting up the biggest numbers for the international squad and is reportedly now on the way to Vitality. Interest has been expressed for a number of players, per our sources, including for BIG‘s Josef “faveN” Baumann, Sprout‘s Laurențiu “lauNX” Țârlea and Dion “FASHR” Derksen, but no agreements have been reached so far.

Vitality in market to replace misutaaa; target Spinx – Report

The Finnish organization still has time to sort out its affairs ahead of the coming season, as the roster lock for the team’s first event, ESL Pro League Season 16, should be on August 16 at midnight, according to the general EPT rules. The rule states that “the final roster that will be used at the event has to be reported before the deadline given by the tournament administration for that event (usually 14 days before the start of the first match of the event).”
