First Champion of Champions Tour qualifiers announced

Sign ups are now open for the Central Europe and South America open qualifiers to the first series of the Champion of Champions Tour. Only teams and players from the respective regions are eligible to enter, with regional events for West, South, East, and North Europe coming at a later date.

The SA and Central Europe qualifiers will take place 30-31 July and 6-7 August respectively. The NA qualifier will go down 27-18 August, South Europe 17-18 September, and North Europe 25-26 September, with sign ups for those yet to open. The dates for West and East Europe have not been announced.

Four successful teams will proceed from each qualifier to the play-in portion of the online series, where they will join 12 invited teams to battle it out through a GSL-style group into a single elimination playoff for qualification to the main online stage.

The play-in teams will then join more invited teams in the main online stage, where the same format will be used to determine the winners of the online series.

Teams will compete in the online series for cash prizes as well as tour points. These tour points will contribute to regional and global rankings, which will qualify teams for the studio and arena portions of the tour. The winners of the main online stage will qualify directly to the studio finals. More information can be found here.
