REVV Racing Launches $150,000 Play-to-Earn Tournament

The Alpha Inaugural starts today and will be active for a week

REVV Racing, the Animoca Brands racing game hosted on the Polygon blockchain, has launched a tournament event called the Alpha Inaugural. The tournament will last a whole week, and the play-to-earn rewards pool amounts to $150,000 in REVV tokens. The tournament will bring rewards to 1,000 players, and first place will receive a grand prize of $12,000. 

In order to participate in the tournament, players need to own a REVV Racing car NFT. To boost the success of the tournament, REVV Racing organized various staking events and giveaways with partners. As a result, there are cars featuring project logos from SuperFarm, Tower, Gamee, The Sandbox, and many more. Alternatively, cars are also available for purchase on OpenSea. At the time of writing, the floor price for a REVV Racing car NFT on OpenSea sits at 0.02 ETH, or about $64.

Once a player has their car NFT ready in their wallet, they can compete in the tournament. Each racer gets 20 free tries in the game. This essentially means that some lucky racers will get the opportunity to participate in the tournament with a free car and with free spins around the track while having the chance to win the grand prize. 

To further enhance the user experience during the tournament, Animoca Brands has vouched to credit an amount of Polygon tokens to all connected wallets that have an NFT car in them. As a Polygon-based game, REVV Racing utilizes MATIC tokens for gas fees during transactions with REVV tokens. 

REVV Racing Performance

As announcements for the upcoming tournament started dropping on social media, REVV Racing saw a boost in its overall performance. According to DappRadar data, the game saw a 62% increase in the number of unique active wallets interacting with its smart contracts in the past week. Of course, a lot of this activity is pushed by the requirement to own a car NFT. With the spike in unique active wallets, the platform saw a boost in the number of processed transactions as well. 

It is clearly visible that REVV Racing is on track to becoming one of the most popular Polygon-based play-to-earn opportunities for players. Currently, the game ranks tenth in the weekly DappRadar Top Polygon Games. However, with the start of the Alpha Inaugural, REVV Racing has the potential to climb to the top.
