AVer combines webcam and document camera in one device

AVer Europe has launched an all-in-one multifunctional camera that can be used as a document camera or a webcam to improve the experience of distance learning.

The A30 features a 13-megapixel camera that delivers images in 4K ultra HD resolution, while its adjustable camera head and rotatable base allow people and documents to be captured at a range of angles.

HDMI and USB output ports for video streaming mean the A30 is compatible with most classroom display monitors. A second USB camera can be connected to the A30 to enable picture-in-picture mode, allowing teachers to shoot and display two live streams simultaneously.

AVer’s AI noise suppression and echo cancellation technology facilitates seamless communication. The A30’s AI image rotation feature also automatically flips the captured image to the correct orientation.

AVerTouch software allows the A30 to start recording with a single touch. As AVer is a Google Cloud and Google for Education partner, teachers can take images and videos via Google Classroom and enable cloud sync to automatically backup any annotations, screenshots and recordings.

Rene Buhay, Aver Europe’s senior vice-president for sales and marketing, said: “The A30 is the first in the industry to feature a visualiser, microphone and speaker in one device. These capabilities help education professionals elevate the hybrid/mobile teaching experience.”
