Fight for the Fate of New Orleans in ‘The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution,’ Out Today

It’s time to book your return trip to New Orleans—no, not the one with the fantastic food and lively music. We’re talking about New Orleans in The Walking Dead universe, a run-down and deeply divided city filled with hostile survivors and massive throngs of zombies looking for their next meal. And it’s yours to explore in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution, which is out today on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro for $39.99 USD.

Chapter 2 picks up right after the bloody events of the first game. Hunted by the seemingly unstoppable Axeman and facing off against the Tower’s latest push for total dominance, discover what connects these new threats before it’s too late. New faces, places, weapons, and gear all await you on your journey to a final showdown for the city’s fate. You can check out the launch trailer on YouTube (18+ only).

While it’s called Chapter 2, make no mistake: This is a fully-realized standalone game. The nomenclature draws on Skydance Interactive’s affinity for The Walking Dead’s comic lineage, and it’s also a nod to the fact that it’s a direct continuation of the Tourist’s story. Players can expect a campaign spanning 15+ hours with several new maps to explore, many new weapons and crafting recipes to use, new enemy types to face off against, the introduction of Night Mode exploration for all maps, and an all-new Trade Network system to engage with.

While there are some benefits to having played through Chapter 1 before diving into Chapter 2, you can still enjoy it entirely on its own. And if you’re completely new to The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, you can also pick up both games together with the Saints & Sinners bundle.

If you have a save file from the original Saints & Sinners, you’ll be able to import it into Retribution to carry over in-game progress—most importantly including your collected crafting recipes and inventory. And just like with Chapter 1, Retribution offers cross-buy on the Meta Quest Store, so you can choose to play the Rift version if you’d like.

Venture into the terrifying world of The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution today on Quest 2 + Pro. Retribution awaits…
