Ladislav “GuardiaN” Kovács‘s tenure on a domestic lineup for the first time in ten years has come to an end.
GuardiaN has left Sampi following three months on the bench. The Slovakian AWPer joined the team in April but was taken off the active roster due to health issues in September. Sampi has stated that GuardiaN‘s health condition has improved but he will not be returning to the team.
GuardiaN has not yet announced what his future holds
The AWPer, who is well-known for his time on FaZe and Natus Vincere, had a 0.98 rating during his time on Sampi. Whilst a part of the team, he competed in both Czech and European events, including the Tipsport Cup and two IEM Road to Rio Open Qualifiers.
In the three months that GuardiaN was on the bench Lukáš “Habyzz” Doležal played with the team in his place. However, earlier this month the young Czech stood down from the team. In a Twitlonger, the 18-year-old explained that due to school he would not have the time to continue to pursue a professional CS:GO career.
Therefore Sampi is now down to four players and at this time it is uncertain who will become their fifth. The future is also uncertain for GuardiaN as he has made no public announcement about his next team.
Sampi are currently:
Lukáš “sAvana1” Lintner
Matúš “MATYS” Šimko
Michal “T4gg3D” Vrzal
Jan “HONES” Urválek
Jakub “Bfull” Kokoška (coach)
